More Bio...

David
was born in
Dekalb, IL and spent the first twelve years of his life living in
Chicago
before moving to Los Angeles.
Secretly,
David
always wanted to be an actor but found his comfort as a young boy
playing and
excelling in sports. In high school David was a football star who
eventually
went on to star at Division 1-AA University
of San Diego where he lead
the team
in tackles his Junior and Senior year. While finishing his business
degree
David coached one season for USD.
In
college,
David’s grandmother, to whom he was very close, passed way. This
tragedy
inspired David to look deeper at what he wanted in his life. He decided
to take
an acting class at Mesa Junior College in San Diego. At Mesa, David was
fortunate enough to hear former alumni Annette Benning speak. He was
inspired
and in love. Not only with Ms. Benning but also with acting.
Upon
graduating
David moved back to Los Angeles where he started working doing
accounting for a
commercial lighting firm.
Eventually
David
started
taking acting classes in Los Angeles. He studied acting with Thomas G.
Waites
and shortly thereafter booked his first play at the Stella Adler
Theatre in
Hollywood.
Mr.
Waites’
class
then formed a theatre group called the Tomcat’s Theatre Company. David
participated as an actor and stage hand on many productions. One of the
company
benefits was a Shakespeare
class taught by film star Alfred
Molina.
David
studied Shakespeare for several terms
until Mr. Molina was too busy as an actor
to teach.
In 1998, David
started studying at the Beverly Hills Playhouse while still keeping his
9-to-5
doing accounting.
Eventually
David
left his ‘day job’, moved into Hollywood and tried his hand at acting
more
seriously.
At
the BHP,
David
studied with many great teachers – Jeffrey
Tambor, Richard Lawson, Gary
Imhoff,
Jocelyn Jones and of course Milton Katselas. David is now in
Milton’s
Master
Class.
In 1999, David
made his life-changing discovery which lead to many other discoveries
and
a
national radio interview.
